Women in Black

In partnership with the Knoxville Area Women in Black, WALLS staged a production at Modern Studio in Knoxville, Tennessee, in September 2017.

Significance

The production was part of a yearlong commemoration of the Knoxville Area Women in Black chapter’s fifteenth anniversary standing against illegal Israeli settlements and for Palestinian rights. These dates intentionally coincided approximately with the horrific Sabra and Shatila massacre of 1982, in which a large number of Palestinians were killed.
